Liverpool's draw with Juventus last night. The match was adjudged by all impartial observers to be 'a right snooze-fest' - I didn't see it, but I'll take Guardian unlimited's word for it (I was going to link to the typically sarcastic minute-by-minute commentary, but they seem to have taken it down and replaced it with a proper match report. Spoil sports).
A dour match it may have been, though no doubt tense for Liverpool fans, the result means that Liverpool play Chelsea in the semis. This in turn guarantees an English team in the championship final this year! Also, it's not Man U or Arsenal! Actually, I'd like to see Arsenal do better in Europe, they play some great football when they're flying.
But enough of that - an English team in the final, wahoo! I'm not that bothered which one makes it really, but I'd say Chelsea are the more likely, and they're also more likely to be able to beat AC Milan, who will surely make the final.
