The greatest fixture of the Football season approaches.
Normally of course, this would be the FA Cup final, but since this year the final promises to be one of the most one-sided walk-overs in years, contested between two of the most loathed teams in all the leagues, it's hardly a tantalising prospect. Maybe a sweepstake on the Wise vs. Keane early bath race might raise some interest?
No, this year there is a new and more entertaining fixture in prospect - Oxford University Computing Services versus Oxford University Library Services.
I know what you're thinking, such a glorious display of talent, where can I get tickets? Sadly, there are no tickets, erm... left (but if you fancy ref'ing, please let me know..).
I will be turning out for the Computing Services team. We've practised a few times together, and I think it's fair to say that we're a mixed ability team. As far as the library team goes, who knows? We could be facing a bunch of pale book-worms, blinking in the sunlight, or a well drilled team.
Only time will tell, but I have a feeling that the reality will be closer to the latter.
