Here, There and All Over The Shop

15 October 2007 - 10:50pm -- Joseph

We've been very busy the past few weeks, doing a multitude of things in a plethora of places. we've been to Munich for the OktoberFest, and to see our German friends Conny and Johannes, which obviously was great fun (though knackering...).

The next week I went to Cambridge with a bunch of the guys at work to play a seven-a-side football games against Cambridge University Library Services. I know what you're thinking: Oxford University Computing Services vs. Cambridge University Library Services, why was this festival of silky football, manly physiques and unstoppable athleticism not on Sky Sport? Well, it would have clashed with the build-up to us beating Australia in the Rugby... The Cambridge lot were the perfect hosts, laying on sandwiches after the game while we watched the rugby (and generously letting us score 15 goals as well - cheers guys! :-D ).

Next stop was Suffolk to see Hev's grandparents, before going to London to go to a posh Thai restaurant to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary (five years!! Where does the time go - happy anniversary love...)

We then nipped back to Oxford, before heading off down to St.Ives with our friend Emily for a long weekend. We had a nice relaxing time, Hev and em went body-boarding (I wimped out as I've got a cold), we went to see the Eden project (which is cool, I'd not been before) and watched England beat the French at the Rugby (this can't last, I know nothing about Rugby, but I saw some of the South Africa vs. Argentina match last night and they looked very good, still, fingers crossed...)

So there we have it, a synopsis of our recent fun and frolics. We have been to work in between some these fun and games, I should point out, but that's not interesting enough to warrant mentioning here...
