Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

4 May 2005 - 4:21pm -- Joseph

We went to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on Friday.

You'd think making a twenty year old Science fiction spoof, which has previously found devoted fans as a radio play, television series and 'trilogy' of five books; whose plot meanders and shoots off in tangents by turns; a work in which the Earth is destroyed in act one, and only two of the characters are actually human; a work with a legacy jealously guarded with a passion peculiar to science fiction obsessives, whose expectations bear no relation to reality, and are thus doomed to disappointment; making such a work into a mainstream Hollywood movie, would be tricky, you'd think.

Well, I liked it. You could pick about this and that, but I think they've done a grand job, I enjoyed it alot.

Ironically, I think it's people who have never read the books/heard the play/seen the tv series that will enjoy it the most(either that, or be utterly confused).

So, I've seen the Movie, read the book, etc. All I need to do now is iron the towel...
