i-Tunes compilations

13 December 2004 - 3:31pm -- Joseph

I like making compilations in i-Tunes.
A few months ago a couple of friends and I had a 'My favorite Beatles compilation' competition (okay, it wasn't really a competition, but I can't call it an exercise, makes it sound like a parliamentary sub-committee or something...). I meant to publish the track listings up here, but never go quite got around to it.
Ah well. Making compilations is fun though and I keep finding more and more arbitrary rules to make a compilation with.Today I tried song titles that are questions. this was prompted by my noticing that quite a few Smiths songs were questions.

This has led me to several conclusions:

Fisrtly - you're no-one if you haven't written a song with a title that's a question.

Secondly, The Pixies' 'Where is my Mind???' has THREE (count 'em THREE) question marks in the title (according to my i-Tunes data anyway)which makes them:

either

The Daddy of song-titles-as-questions

or

The musical equivilent of those over-emphasised individuals who feel the need to put three exclamation!!! marks!!! after everything!!!

Since it's the Pixies, I suppose they deserve the benefit of the doubt, maybe...
