Breaking the silence

I've not posted for a while, this is for two reasons:

  1. I've been very busy
  2. The things I've been busy doing aren't interesting enough to write about

Not much has changed: still very busy doing not-very-interesting things, though I did see Thom Yorke on the bus today. I got on a very crowded bus to go home (clearly everyone else had decided that they didn't want to cycle in the cold with a cold too) and there he was, standing in the middle of a crowded bus. So there you go, at least he practices what he preaches, being as he's a campaigner for climate change (well, against climate change, I suppose...)

Not that I'm one of those people who thinks that celebrities shouldn't be allowed opinions. I've always found that very strange, the 'bloody do-gooders' attitude. Why is it bad that people show concern for others? I think it just makes people feel uncomfortable that they're not doing more themselves: 'stop making me feel guilty, you're meant to be entertaining me!'

Speaking of a failure to entertain, I'm playing in a band at the work Christmas party tomorrow, should be interesting...
