August the Ghost Town

12 August 2005 - 12:36pm -- Joseph

Nothing is happening.

Everyone's on holiday.

I haven't played football because I'm still recovering from the cold.

At least the football season's started, Swindon are off to a typically flying start, (well not so much 'fly' as 'plummet') and are bottom of the league.

Grrr.

So mostly I'm concerning myself with where Michael Owen's going to end up. My money was on ManU, but this now looks increasingly unlikely. Not Newcastle, please, no no. If Shearer wants to wate his career to play for his hometown club, then fine, who cares, but Owen's a scouser (sort of).

He gave up on the home town glory thing last season, and they went and won the Champion's League...

Whoops.

I think Owen'll stick it out at Madrid now, unless ManU do come in for him.

Oh well, have to wait and see, the excitement is almost unbearable...

I was searching online for guatemalan wedding traditions because my friend is getting married to a Guatamalan girl. I came across your blogg were you mentioned that you had been to a couple of Guatemalan weddings. I would like to give something special to her in honor of their engagement that would have special meaning to her with regard to her heritage. We live in the in the US and she is new to the culture and I felt this would be a comfort to her durring her transition. I was wondering if you could think of anything that might make a good gift. Thank you- Megan Dunsmore

FAO Megan,

I've asked my Cousin for ideas, she's Guatamalan, maybe she'll know. Drop me an email at 'joseph at this domain' (if you see what I mean) and I'll let you know what I find out...
