The Joseph Bloggs award for The Best Online Comic in the World Ever

26 October 2005 - 4:25pm -- Joseph

I came across this comic strip a few years ago. I can't remember how I came to find it, but I thought it was the best web comic I'd seen. Okay, it's just a little little comic strip, but it tickled me and made good use of the medium.

It just occurred to me to try and find it again, which I did, so I'm posting it here so can share it's glory and always know where to find it.

So, the Joseph Bloggs award for The Best Online Comic in the World Ever goes to:

The Tragic Death of an Animated Gif

Wake me when it's over...

18 October 2005 - 4:02pm -- Joseph

Ooh ooh!

The Tories are voting on who's going to lead them to defeat against Gordon Brown!!

The apathy is killing me...

My money's on Ken Clakre to win. I hope he doesn't, as I actually quite like Ken Clarke, and worst of all he's competent and sensible enough to lead the Tories to power, and we don't want that (well, I don't want that...).

'Gis a job...

17 October 2005 - 7:12pm -- Joseph

No, I've not been sacked.

On Saturday, Hev and I went to Forum 3, a careers fair for the not-for-profit and voluntary sector, at the business design centre in Islington (posh building, nice area, good pubs).

The reason (apart from the pubs)?

We've both always wanted to go volunteering overseas at some point. Over the past year, we've been trying to sort something out, with little success so far...

Your ticket out of IE/CSS hell?

28 September 2005 - 3:48pm -- Joseph

I've been made aware of an 'interesting' article that sheds some light on Internet Explorer's sometime unfathomable approach to CSS page styling by one of my colleagues (thanks Rich!).

I say 'interesting' becasue if you're a web designer (like me), then this page may well help you solve some 'interesting' (i.e. unwanted, but amusingly idiotic) display glitches in IE.

Talking drums...

19 September 2005 - 7:52pm -- Joseph

The Keepintime CD/DVD did finally come, and when it came, well, it was awesome, though I imagine it's not for everyone. If you're into drums, beats, hip hop, Jazz/Funk drumming, then it's awesome, otherwise you'd probably beconfused and/or bored after 45 minutes of live improvised show. But it is awesome. Did I mention it was awesome? Sorry for the vocabulary failure.

Pacemaker check and off duty

8 September 2005 - 9:04am -- Joseph

I had my pacemaker check this week (for all those that done know I have a pacemaker for complete heart block, I have had six in total since the age of three) I thought they may have wanted to change it this time as the batteries were running low but alas I still have 18 months left so will return in another 6 months. Which is a shame cos I was really hoping for Christmas off sick! But at least I can go skiing with no worries in January.

Souls for sale, please Contact Marvel Entertainment

7 September 2005 - 4:17pm -- Joseph

I see Marvel comics have made the jump into films. Hardly surprising, given the success of Spidey and the X-men, and the complicated legal wrangles of licensing out other people's imagination and hard work. They're going to make film vehicles for ten of their characters. So anyone who was fan of Captain America, Nick Fury and the Avengers as a child, prepare to have your childhood memories tarnished forever...
